Refund Policy
Overview
This Refund Policy explains when Preptin may offer a refund for paid subscriptions and other billed Services. Unless otherwise required by applicable law, all fees are non-refundable once charged.
Preptin provides learning and interview-preparation Services, including our website, Chrome extension, and any paid subscription plans we may offer.
Subscription Billing
Paid plans may be billed monthly or yearly depending on the plan you select. By starting a subscription, you authorize Preptin and our payment processor to charge the selected payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Your billing page shows your current plan, renewal date when available, payment history, and cancellation controls. Payment processing, mandates, authentication, and refunds may be handled by third-party payment providers such as Razorpay.
When Refunds May Be Considered
We may review refund requests on a case-by-case basis. Examples include:
- Duplicate charges caused by a billing error.
- Accidental double purchase of the same plan.
- Charges made after a cancellation request that should have stopped renewal.
- A material service failure that prevents access to the paid Service and cannot be resolved in a reasonable time.
- Refunds that are required by applicable law.
When Refunds Are Usually Not Available
- You changed your mind after buying a subscription.
- You did not use all available features during the billing period.
- You forgot to cancel before the renewal date.
- You cancelled after a renewal charge was already processed.
- You expected a feature or integration that is not currently included in your plan.
- AI outputs, readiness scores, recommendations, or analytics did not produce the specific result you hoped for.
- The request falls outside what is required under applicable law.
Free Trials, Coupons, and Promotional Offers
If we offer a free trial, promotional credit, coupon, or discounted introductory pricing, the terms shown at signup or checkout will control that offer. Promotional pricing may apply only to eligible users, specific plans, specific billing cycles, or a limited period. Once an offer expires or is removed, future purchases or renewals may be charged at the then-current price unless the checkout or plan terms state otherwise.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us at support@preptin.ai.
Please include:
- The email address used for the account.
- The date and amount of the charge.
- A short explanation of why you are requesting a refund.
- Any receipt, invoice, or transaction reference you have.
We may ask for additional details so we can review the request and confirm the transaction.
Review and Processing
After we receive your request, we will review it and respond within a reasonable timeframe. If a refund is approved, it will be issued to the original payment method when possible. Processing times may vary depending on your bank, card network, UPI provider, mandate provider, or payment processor.
Approval of a refund in one situation does not require us to approve future refunds in the same or similar circumstances.
Subscription Cancellation
Cancelling a subscription stops future billing, but it does not automatically create a refund for any already-charged billing period unless we approve it or applicable law requires it.
Unless the product flow states otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you may continue to access paid features until that period ends. If a renewal charge has already been initiated by the payment provider, contact us as soon as possible.
Failed Payments and Mandates
Some payment methods require recurring-payment mandates or additional authentication. If a payment fails, your subscription may remain pending, become inactive, or be cancelled depending on the payment provider and plan state. We may retry failed payments where supported by the payment provider.
Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first so we can help resolve it. Filing a chargeback without contacting us first may delay resolution and could affect the status of your account.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
