Terms of Service

Welcome to Preptin (“Preptin”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, Chrome extension, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Services. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Some features require an account (for example, saving notes, analytics, or GitHub sync). You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating or using an account.
• Maintain the security of your account and authentication methods (e.g., Google OAuth).
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
• Accept responsibility for activities that occur under your account.

Preptin provides learning and productivity features such as AI code review, explanations, readiness signals, topic mastery, revision notes, recommendations, progress analytics, and workflow tools. AI output, readiness scores, revision plans, recommendations, and other insights may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated and should be independently verified.

Preptin does not guarantee that you will solve a particular problem, pass an interview, receive an offer, improve a rating, or achieve any specific career, academic, contest, or hiring outcome. You are responsible for how you use the Services, including any AI-generated or analytics-based output.

You agree not to misuse the Services. You must not:

• Use the Services for illegal activities or violate applicable law.
• Attempt to bypass paywalls, scrape protected content, or reverse engineer third-party platforms.
• Use the Services to cheat in contests or assessments.
• Submit code, notes, private repository content, employer content, confidential material, or other data that you do not have the right to share with Preptin.
• Upload malware, exploit vulnerabilities, or interfere with operations.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent affiliation.
• Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights.

“User Content” includes code, notes, and other content you submit or store through the Services. You retain ownership. You grant Preptin a limited license to host and process your content solely to operate and improve the Services.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit User Content to Preptin and to allow Preptin to process it for the Services. Do not submit proprietary, confidential, or regulated content unless you are authorized to do so.

The Preptin extension may help verify platform handles, detect problem context, capture submitted solution code after you enable AI analysis, and sync supported coding activity. You are responsible for using the extension lawfully and only on accounts, pages, and content you are authorized to access.

Preptin is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LeetCode, Codeforces, CodeChef, GeeksforGeeks, or similar third-party coding platforms. Your use of those platforms remains subject to their own rules and terms. Do not use Preptin to violate third-party platform rules, contest rules, assessment rules, or academic integrity policies.

The Services may integrate with third-party services (e.g., Google OAuth, GitHub, AI providers, payment processors, and coding platforms). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, their data practices, or their decisions.

Some features are available through paid subscriptions. Pricing, billing cycle, renewal date, taxes, and payment details are shown at purchase or in your billing page. By starting a paid subscription, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge the applicable recurring fees until you cancel.

Subscriptions may renew monthly or yearly depending on the plan you select. If you cancel, cancellation usually stops future renewals and your paid access may continue until the end of the then-current billing period unless the product flow states otherwise. Fees are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy or where required by law.

We may offer coupons, discounts, introductory pricing, or promotional offers. Offer terms may vary and can expire, be modified, or be discontinued for future purchases.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information.

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features, plans, integrations, limits, or availability of the Services. We may also update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as through the platform or email.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PREPTIN DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

PREPTIN WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED AMOUNTS PAID IN THE PRIOR 12 MONTHS, OR INR 5,000 IF NONE.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction.
